Noticing it early

Pick the controls that fit how you play

Quiet design, plainly stated: the same controls sit in every account, whatever your budget or history.

A ceiling before the money moves
A deposit limit caps how much can enter your account, so a hard week cannot quietly become an expensive one. Switch it on before your next top-up, while you are still thinking clearly.
When a losing run starts
This one caps what a session can take from you in losses, rather than what you put in. Reach for it when your budget matters more than your balance.
Knowing how long you have played
A reminder appears at the interval you choose, showing how long you have been playing. Turn it on if you tend to lose track of the clock on slots or tables.
A pause, then back to normal
A cooling-off period puts a pause on your account, so the temptation waits while you step away. Choose one when play has started to feel like a routine rather than a choice.
Close the door properly
Self-exclusion keeps you out of play for the term you select, and it is the stronger option. Take it when you want the decision made once, not argued with every evening.

Ending a session knowing the number in advance

Useful the first evening you decide to spend less than you usually do.

Find the limit settings
Open your profile from the account menu and find the limit settings there. Check you are on the real-money section, not a demo or bonus view.
Which limit fits?
Pick what you want to cap: money in, losses, or time at the tables. Deposit and loss limits work differently, so choose the one that matches your worry.
How long should it last?
Choose how long the cap should last, and read the summary before you approve it. A shorter period is easier to review honestly later on.
Is it active?
Confirm the change and look for the message that says it is active. If nothing appears in your settings afterwards, contact support rather than assume it worked.

Signs that play has turned into pressure

Noticing these signals early does not mean anything is broken, only that play has started to cost more than you meant it to. Setting a limit or taking a pause is the simplest first step, and both live in your account.

Look at your last few weeks and see how many of these sound familiar.

  • Chasing a loss with a larger deposit
  • Hiding how much time you spend playing
  • Checking the balance before anything else
  • Borrowing money to keep a session going
  • Feeling flat when you are not playing
  • Depositing past a limit you set
  • Saying you will stop, then playing again

Not a talk about money, a talk about time

Age gate at sign-up. Nobody under 18 may hold an account here, and the registration form asks for a date of birth that matches your identity documents. Those documents are also checked before the first withdrawal, so an underage sign-up does not survive the first payout.

Lock the device with a password you keep. Install blocking software on the family computer or phone so gambling sites do not load for anyone using it. Choose one that locks with a password held by an adult outside the household, otherwise it can simply be switched off.

Before blame, a conversation. Speaking plainly about the money and the hours lands better than an accusation, and the National Gambling Helpline advises relatives as well as players. Their counsellors are free to call and available at any hour.

Three free services

Someone to talk to, at no cost

Reach for these when a conversation would help more than another deposit.

National Gambling Helpline
A free line for players and for the people around them, answering every hour of every day with chat, email counselling, self-help tools and a directory of local services. Calls stay confidential. 1800 858 858 gamblinghelponline.org.au
Gamblers Anonymous Australia
Peer support meetings across Australia where people who gamble sit with others in the same position. Relatives are welcome to come along, and sharing is not required. gaaustralia.org.au
National Debt Helpline
Free financial counselling for gambling debt, open to players and to family members managing it with them. Advisers help sort out repayments, callers reach them on weekdays during business hours. ndh.org.au

How long should a break last?

Hours away, not weeks. A short cooling-off freezes access for hours or days, long enough to step back from a bad run. It starts in your account settings and applies at once, so the break begins when you choose it rather than later.

Closed for the long run. Choosing self-exclusion shuts your account for a long stretch, and the casino cannot lift it early at your request. You start it from the account settings; once it runs, play is closed to you until the period ends.

Add your name to BetStop. BetStop is Australia's national self-exclusion register, run by the Australian Government through ACMA. Signing up takes about five minutes at betstop.gov.au, you may nominate a support person, and it cannot be lifted for at least three months. betstop.gov.au

Limits check

Questions that come after the first look at the limits

Useful when the settings are set and you still want a plain answer before you go further.

Why does Morospin Casino check that I am 18 or older?+
Gambling here is for adults only, so age has to be confirmed before an account can be used. A document showing your identity is enough, and the same check protects anyone sharing your household from stumbling into play.
Where do I go later if I want a different limit?+
The same place you set it: the limit settings inside your account. Changing a figure there applies to play from then on, so pick a level you can hold to rather than one you are testing.
What does a cooling-off period stop, and when can I play again?+
It shuts you out of the account for the stretch you choose, so no deposits or play happen in that window. Play resumes by itself the moment the period ends, with your limits as you left them.
Can the National Gambling Helpline advise a partner or a parent?+
Yes, calls from worried relatives are part of what the service is for. Staff there talk through the situation with you and point to counselling and local support, free and at any hour.
If I self-exclude, can it be lifted before the period ends?+
No, the exclusion holds for the full stretch you chose. Because it cannot be cut short, choose a period long enough to be real rather than a shorter one you might regret.
What closes my account permanently?+
A message to the support address asking for closure, sent from your registered email address. Staff confirm the request and the account stays shut, so write it once you are sure closing is what you want.
